I am Othman Sunbul, a Public Relations and Strategic Communications professional and a Public Relations Senior Analyst at the Red Sea Film Foundation. I work across cultural communications, media relations, editorial strategy, and festival-scale media operations.

Year-round Foundation communications and major media operations for the Red Sea International Film Festival.
At the Red Sea Film Foundation, I work across year-round institutional communications and the media operation surrounding one of the region's most visible cultural events. My role connects approved strategy to delivery: press materials, key messages, press conferences, journalist engagement, media partnerships, invitations, press junkets, red carpets, crisis planning, and PR-agency coordination.

During the Festival's fifth editionThe work requires two forms of discipline at once. The first is editorial: understanding what the story is, what must be said, and what should remain precise. The second is operational: ensuring that messages, people, partners, and media moments are coordinated under live-event pressure.
Supported the development and delivery of 3 integrated communication strategies across three Festival editions.
Coordinated end-to-end PR and media operations for 3 press conferences, including key messages, media invitations, press lists, Run of Show planning, and spokesperson coordination.
Wrote and coordinated the distribution of 80+ Red Sea-specific press releases as part of a wider career total of 150+.
Coordinated and managed 45+ press junkets during the Festival's fifth edition.
Coordinated press and media operations across 50+ red-carpet events over multiple Festival editions.

A hybrid rule-and-AI product designed to identify translation-shaped and mechanically constructed Arabic, then guide writers toward clearer, more natural Arabic expression.
Minkhal is an independent Arabic-language product combining editorial judgment, linguistic knowledge, knowledge engineering, and AI-assisted analysis.

Built around a structured linguistic knowledge system and an evidence-aware analysis engine, Minkhal examines lexical, semantic, syntactic, morphological, and stylistic patterns to identify potential issues and guide writers toward more natural Arabic expression.
The product continues to evolve through systematic testing of real-world and literary Arabic, combining rule-based analysis with AI-assisted interpretation while keeping editorial judgment at the center.

Built a knowledge base containing 1,200+ linguistic and editorial rules.

Directed the development of a hybrid rule-and-AI analysis engine, including evidence ranking, contextual and semantic detection, and candidate-selection methods designed to improve precision and reduce false positives.
Established a systematic evaluation process using batch testing, rules-only and AI-assisted analysis, benchmark texts, Gold Keys, and false-positive and missed-rule diagnostics.
Founded the product and defined its vision, linguistic framework, editorial methodology, and product direction.
Developed Minkhal as an independent practice alongside my full-time role at the Red Sea Film Foundation.
Minkhal is an ongoing experiment in turning tacit language judgment into an explainable and testable system: using AI to support editorial judgment, not replace it.

Led editorial planning and content development for the launch of the organization’s first magazine issue.
For the Saudi Business Center, I led the editorial planning and content development behind the launch of Aamal Magazine's first issue. The assignment required establishing an editorial foundation, not simply filling pages: defining the issue's content direction, shaping material for an institutional audience, and helping turn a new publication into a coherent first statement.

A summer radio project shaped through research, scripting, interviews, music, and edit.
For FlashBack, I developed program content and script material focused on cinema and television. The work brought together research, interview preparation, music selection, editing, and broadcast storytelling within a concise summer format.

Institutional communications and Festival operations connecting strategy, editorial judgment, media relations, partnerships, and live delivery.
At Taibah University, studying Journalism, Communication and Media established the discipline behind my work: how to research, interview, verify, and frame a story with care. Concurrent training at the Saudi Press Agency placed those principles inside a working newsroom and connected academic study to professional reporting.
That reporting foundation became a route into institutional communications. Training with Wadi Jeddah introduced media relations, official communication, event coordination, and monitoring in an organizational setting. At MCD, the same practice became full-time employment, with greater responsibility for shaping clear messages and supporting the institution’s public presence.
In 2022, the work moved into editorial publishing through Esquire Saudi, where I was employed by ITP as an Editor through 2023. Editorial planning, article development, cover-story production, digital publishing, and audience awareness strengthened my judgment about how stories travel. During the same period, NEOM × ITP training, contract work for Saudi Business Center’s Aamal Magazine, and the parallel FlashBack/UFM project expanded the practice without replacing the principal employment line.
Since October 2023, I have applied that reporting and editorial judgment at the Red Sea Film Foundation as a Public Relations Senior Analyst. Year-round institutional communications and the operational context of the Red Sea International Film Festival bring strategy, media relations, partnerships, and live delivery together under sustained public attention.
